Commercial solo cross-country requirements.

Hello guys, I am a little concerned, I flew my solo cross-country today and my ending time was 5.9hrs... I flew from kprc-kinw-kdro-kprc. The leg from Durango to Prescott was 292nm, someone told that the cross-country has to be 6hrs total solo cross-country and basically I will have to do the flight over... This can't be true right?

Do you own a Far/Aim, soon to be commercial pilot?

There is no time in the regulation.

61.129 (4)(i)

“One cross-country flight of not less than 300 nautical miles total distance, with landings at a minimum of three points, one of which is a straight-line distance of at least 250 nautical miles from the original departure point.”

I read that FAR, and it was a another student not my instructor that told me that, I just wanted to double check...
Call your instructor. I am unfamiliar with 141 and your schools syllabus.

The 61 reg does not stipulate a time requirement.

Lots of good information here from the members.

However, after going through a few check rides and especially the CFI training and ride that I took, apparently examiner's pet peeve is, "My instructor told me or I was taught" They hate that.

Look it up, know it, and prove it. Never attempt to get by with the aforementioned.

Yep, turns out I will have to do a short cross-country about an hour total solo to satisfy some rule...
