CessnaDriver- I was under the impression that you could file IFR, but that the flight had to be in VFR conditions (VMC, of course)....is that what you're saying?
I don't understand your confusion. At least 20 hours of training that includes 10 hours of instrument work, 10 hours in a complex airplane and 2 2-hour cross country flights. Sounds very straightforward. If I do a dual 2-hour night cross country flight in a complex airplane under the hood, I've got 2 hours toward three of those requirements. Maybe I'm missing something?Exactly....but that's what's confusing me. Why is it "20 hours of training" for 10 hours of instrument, 10 hours in a complex, and 2, 2 hour x-country flights? Am i missing something?
