Commercial Glider License

I drive planes
Done.

So I am a professional pilot now? Cool.

Lets see the big bucks start rolling in from the 4 glider rides I might give in a weekend. :nana2::rolleyes:

give me some scenarios that you can use your commercial gliding license, cause I can't think of none:)

Giving rides and aerobatic displays are the only things that I can really think of.

But, I got the license because I have a job lined up for me giving rides. So starting tomorrow, I make $5 for each ride I give, plus tips.

A bunch of gliders being towed behind a FedEx wide-body (all painted in FedEx colors of course). They all release over respective areas and deliver packages to small communities. The gliders are of course one-use and disposable.

I like my imagination.:panic:

Most excellent. I'm quite jealous. Enjoy it!!!

I just read an article by Barry Schiff talking about gliding on a layover in HI.

I have the small craft jones....I just need the cash and time graph to meet.

OK Trace....

You've done the stuff....what are some good books to get started with?

Thanks...

Really just the FAA Glider Flying Handbook should have everything that you need to know. Then of course the FAR/AIM for the glider specific regulations. Then to study and get ready, Bob Wander (http://www.bobwander.com/) has some good prep books.

I downloaded the FAA book before I read your reply. Thanks for the Bob Wander...there's always some dude everyone "in the know" knows about but no one else does. After the CFI renewal and recurrent should be some good reading.

Thanks man....

Didn't the guy like that for mountain flying just die recently in a crash in the mountains?

Yeah...

Bob is doing fine though. I just talked to him on the phone a few weeks ago about a new product I am going to help him develop soon.

Probably a book about how to take a redhead who is WAAAAY out of your league to Prom via a dinner that you fly to.:D
