Combined PEPC question (geo prefs)

I'm sure it's been mentioned on here in previous threads, but I haven't been able to find it.

Here's the question. If you applied for multiple pubnats (5 and 6), will there be two geo pref e-mails sent even though they will be going to the same PEPC? It makes sense that there will be, but from what I've already read, the FAA doesn't always make sense.

i received an email for pubnat 3 and 4. i doubt they use all 4 prefs, but who knows with the FAA. they might not catch it

PUBNAT3, 4, Hawaii, and Alaska are all being considered for the same panels this week. The person I talked to on the phone at aviation careers told me that they look at all the announcements separately. However, if you are selected for more than one announcement, it's unclear whether we will get an interview invite for each or if they will pick one facility.

Also, I don't think we know yet if these four announcements will be going to the same PEPC or not. I have not heard that anywhere. Even though we've known they'll be at the same panels, geographic preferences were still staggered so that PUBNAT3 got them first.

I am in pubnat 3 & 4 they sent each of us geo prefs for pubnat 3 & also 4 seperately they were not combined. So potentially for the same pepc which I am under the impression pub 3-4 will be combined maybe 5-6 may as well I dont know for sure. Either way to answer your question you should get geos for 5 and then for 6. I would recommend strongly to really think about EVERY place your willing to move to and make that your 4 geo prefs which are by state BTW not by facility some states have multiple facilities you can write in an area your pref of locality but it is done by state.

Question to those that did their Geo Prefs recently:
I spoke to someone at DTW Tower today to schedule a tour, and the woman I spoke to told me that if I want to stay in Michigan to only put that on my Prefs. She said that You can pick two, but only one is mandatory. I was wondering if someone could tell me if that's true or not.

That is true. I only put Washington on the 3 geo prefs that I filled out for pubnat's 1-3. The other drop-down menu you can just ignore, as it does not have a "Required *" next to it.
