Combine IFR X-Country with Commercial?

I think it's more of a GPS dependency issue. VFR cross country skills are to power up the unit, and hit direct to wherever.

there was a multi page thread here on jetcarrers not long ago on this subject. i'm only summing up my recollection of that thread. i think you may even have posted in it
