Comair Hiring!

Im guessing Comair is really sticking to their 600/100. I have 515/135 and no call. I update my airlineapps account daily.

There is a huge pool of applicants right now. They have become increasingly choosy as to who they bring on. Most of the low time or low multi guys are from ATP, had a jet bridge program, were/are Comair employees, or are CFI's. The guys that have been getting first dibs are those who came from another 121 operator(MAG), especilly those that have closed up shop.
 
In all seriousness it is an extremely bad time to be on the bottom of anyone's seniority list. I would strongly recommend that folks stay put if you have any security at your current job. Let the airlines realign to the new oil reality before making any career decisions.

I'm not trying to stomp on anyone's dreams, but take it from a guy who has been furloughed several times -- you don't want to put yourself in the position of being someone ELSE'S furlough insurance. And the 50-70 seat CRJ with high CASM is probably not long for this world. IMHO

Good Luck! From what i've seen on our bid packets-hiring will still be going on for some time.

So you still have some time-and probably will get some people below you.
And no matter what-you will at least have a seniority # in place, and be able to keep it.

lol, I just cleaned them up. I have space now.

Yeah, I'm stressing out but I should just learn like those Ronco commercials, "Set It and Forget It." :D

Yeah-the thought about them working sometimes on the weekends surprises us too.

But hang in there guys.

It took them a few days to get around to a call back when i got hired too.
 
I'm at about 600TT and 400 Multi. What has anyone heard as far as time to sit reserve for new hires?

Certain universities have deals with airlines, also a person that was on IOE today, was probably hired just over 2 months ago. 2 Months ago there where many more airlines hiring, and the F word was being thrown around just yet.

My friend interviewed last Tuesday and said the average time was 1000/100.

Yea they do with WMU but that's the JET course. I don't have that kind of money
