Going into SFO the PSA pilots always used to report over the Shoe Factory, and to the outside eye you would never imagine what it was. It started off life being called the Italian Shoe Factory, and was then shortened, however it was not a factory at all, they used to report this point over the local cement works.

Most of ours are pretty tame, but I hate hearing "report Kream" on final into one of our smaller airports.

The ILS33 FAF at MTN is Cindi which the tower always has us report at. It is so funny to hear all the guys come back, "Martin Tower, I am inside Cindi."

On the ILS 1L into IAD, the fixes are ERACE, CARRY, and SKINS. It is rumored that this is a slam on ACA's founder/CEO, Kerry Skeen.
