Clash between Delta pilot and flight attendant delays flight at LGA

An angry RJ lifer versus a cat rancher. This article really isnt fair to Delta. They need to change the headline to include some mention of " A Delta Airlines Regional Partner" It's click bait. The reality is that it was not a Delta Airlines pilot or flight attendant.

Bullschwix! You put your paint on an outsourced jet to save costs, you sure as damn better be ready for whatever repercussions that arise from said cheap, outsourced operation.

The biggest injustice is the lack of sharing joined responsibility for a fatal crash. The legacy airlines all have that in their contracts and they are held harmless/indemnify from the regional counterparts. The PBS documentary "Flying Cheap" went over this part pretty well.

I agree, I just dont agree with the headline saying "A Delta Airlines Pilot" That is misleading IMO and its false. They could have simply said Airline Pilot. There isn't even a mention about Endeavor at all.

Again, disagreed. For the public and from a practical standpoint, it's a Delta colored plane, flown on by people who bought tickets on delta.com , and who are expecting a Delta pilot, Delta service, and Delta safety.

I totally understand and agree. My gripe is with dishonest journalism. It is a dishonest headline and article with zero mention of Endeavor.

How do they know their ages but not their names or even the actual airline they were flying for? I'm gonna make a prediction that it was actually the 2 flight attendants on a 900 arguing.

I was wondering the same thing. They managed to get that but failed to provide the airline name.

I'm going to disagree for this reason: The airlines don't want transparency when it comes to substituting regionals for mainline equipment on routes, so they shouldn't be granted transparency when it works against them. If the airline is going to bait-and-switch the consumer onto a cramped regional jet using their company name, then they deserve to get their company name tarnished when the regional screws it up.

Just my 2¢ worth.

Very fair point.

Honestly nobody cares. Like at all. The general public is not interested or informed enough to even know what a regional airline is. The article could say endeavor "a delta connection carier" and people would still take away from that Delta.

Did the aircraft, the gate, the ticket, etc .. say Endeavor? or Delta? The media see a newsworthy story, the public expects a report. Delta has a brand to protect, they need to be ahead of the story that evolves, they need to have PRESS reports, and they did not.

I don't disagree. Its more or less just a pet peeve.

What tf does Publix have to do with any of that?
Hmm, that's a good question. Typed that out on my phone walking back from Applebee's. I must have mutilated the spelling and that was what it suggested...which is weird because I don't think I've ever intentionally typed out "Publix."

You reap what you sow when you outsource.

As far as calling the FA a piece of shiite... I mean, we've all thought it, but #nottier1. :D
