CLANG!!!

Rough day at the office? ;)

Wind shear, pilot failure.... what could it have been?!.... I think I´ve seen worse landings with students in GA airplanes, but.. after seeing at the end of the video the structural damage...:eek2: I can only guess how intense the impact was.

The difference is that you can't abuse a 767 the way you can abuse a 172. I think we've all seen things done to a 172 that would destroy most other aircraft.

Autolands in the 767 routinely embarrass the pilots with how well it does. Porpoising in one is also kind of a no-no, as there's an abundance of force imparted on the forward section when slammed down (the mains are 80-ish feet behind the nosewheel).

That sucks. Part of me doesn't like living in the age of video cameras on cellphones and digitally stored security cameras. People are waiting, video at the ready, to record your possible epic fail. Everybody has one or two events in life that occur where it is much more preferable if no one is recording.

Yes, let's yearn for the good old days when we lacked sufficient data to actually learn what happened so we can prevent a future accident. I know that's not what you meant, but that was the first thing that occurred to me reading that!

The 75/76's have PWS warnings, correct?

Depending on the circumstances, there could be some LOFT scenarios once the facts are determined.

There are cameras everywhere, this was taken outside the fence:

I guess it was their go-home leg? :)

I know that I probably shouldn't say this, but this is what happens when you put a 250 hour pilot in the seat of a airliner like this.
