whats that button do?!
Anyone have input on what pay should be as a co-capt on a ce-680 in the north east?

50% of the flying is corporate and 50% is charter.

Thanks!!

$160k would be great but highly unlikely IMO. That number would be on the high end for aviation department manager on a Soverign, but if you can get it as a co-captain on a split 91/135 account more power to ya! I'm all for pilots making great pay, but I fear you might immediately price yourself out of the job if you start with that #. Realistically i'd hope for $120-135. That being said I know guys in the sovereign making less then six figures. Sucks.

I agree it's high, but the NE ain't cheap. I would agree that 120 is a low number and 140 would be tops. Also, there is not a ton of 680 pilots out of work. We just hired a guy and he was tough to find.

120 to fly a sov? Sign me up.
Most likely isnt happening unless its a rare 91 job who really value their flight crew.

Congrats! He is literally the lowest paid sovereign captain in the world. I hope…Maybe there is someone making even less?

I just finished my initial training and received a PIC type on the Sovereign. I can't seem to find any outfits looking for an FO on a Sovereign. Was wondering if anyone knew of a place?

Did you buy the type without a job? Most people get the job and their company pays for the type. There's is an outfit based of Vermont (Burlington I think) that almost exclusively flies Sovereigns. And I'm sure 135 and 91 departments all over both coasts will have one here and there.

Not exactly no. CAE Simuflite gives out 6 type rating scholarships every year. I was one of this year's lucky recipients and I received a PIC type on the Sovereign. I'm a younger guy, graduated from a 141 school/university a few years ago. I have an ATP and I would really like to enter the Corporate world (either 135, or 91) on a Sovereign if possible. Here's my main issue, I can't seem to find anyone looking for an FO on a Sovereign (maybe I'm looking in the wrong places), but also I have no turbine time in my log book. But I do have the PIC type on the CE680 . . for whatever that is worth. Any suggestions? I'd really like to avoid the regional airline world if possible....

PM me. I can ask if we are still looking for another guy. With Turbine time, will be tough. Insurance may be hard to get on that airplane. But once you have 500 hours of turbine time , it will be a good type to have. As for no jobs in that type, that is a good thing, in away .

Good for you! That may be a difficult type to break into the corporate/135pax ops world with but it is a great type to have if you can find a job with it. Most people start out in the BE400 or CE500 because almost every charter department has them. Anyways, good luck! I wish I could be of more help but the only place I know people at isn't somewhere you would want to work.

Thanks! And yeah it definitely is not easy to break into the industry. Everything seems to be a catch-22. You cannot get the job unless you have time in type and you cannot get time in type unless you have the job...hmm....
