I've always wanted to fly a King Air.....hope to be able to ride, at least, shotgun on one some day.
One Citation Mustang, for the sparkly-eyed shiny-jet-loving kids. How many aircraft does UND need?

Yeah, they're trading the Mustang for a CRJ-1.0x10^24.what about that CRJ-10000?

"Whoa" is all I can say to that statement! We call those kids go-getters. I hate how some people on this board make fun of kids who want to advance quickly and try their best to get there. They are the ones with the drive to get farther faster. So if you ever feel like making fun of "Shiny Jet Syndrome" kids again, think twice about what you are really saying about them and yourself.![]()

...and who is "we?" I think you'll find most in disagreement with your statement.
P.S.-Wanting to pay to fly a Citation Mustang is not a good way of having "the drive to get there faster."
So if you had the opportunity to fly a Citation Mustang as a student, you wouldnt accept?
I don't know if you're flamebait or not, but I'll answer anyway and the short answer is a big no. I don't have mommy and daddy willing to pay $1500/hr for a "joy ride" in a Citation. Even if papi has the money, it would be STUPID to shell out that kind of money just to satisfy one's shiny-jet wet dreams. So if you had the opportunity to fly a Citation Mustang as a student, you wouldnt accept?
Unless it was free (or at least >$100/hr), I wouldn't. You'd be paying so much per hour.So if you had the opportunity to fly a Citation Mustang as a student, you wouldnt accept?

Yeah thats a good question. I was also wondering is it really that much faster/cheaper to fly that thing versus a King Air or another type of corporate jet?I've been away from UND for a while now, but what was the deal with the Mustang? Was it intended for students to do training in it or was it just another means of transportation for Dean Smith to get to his golf games in the Cities?
Air China. they used a b200 last year and still have it on the ramp this year, but apparently they can use the 90 because they are.Who gets to fly the King Air at UND? I'm suprised they're using a 90 for the contract students. i know of another flight school that got in trouble because theiir 90 was too light to qualify for the students 15 hours of KA time.
