Why are you more concerned about a content delivery network "tracking" you than a single server doing it?

I'm curious what I'm super worried about the Chinese "tracking" me for. "Yup, he's still on his couch. Ope, he went to work!"

I'm not James Bond, Facebook and every other social media company has probably tracked me far, far more to try to sell me random crap that I'm not actually going to buy.
