Nicholas Air Columbus, Mississippi:<BR /><u><strong>Position Overview</strong></u><br /><div> </div><div>Responsible for the Flight Department’s day-to-day operations and is responsible for flight crew training, flight training manuals and to revise manuals subject to final approval of the Director of Operations.</div><div> </div><div><strong><u>Duties & Responsibilities</u></strong></div><ul><li>Manage Operational Control as delegated by the Director of Operations, under FAR Part 135</li><li>Oversee training, scheduling initial, recurrent, upgrade and differences as required by the Company’s Training Program Manual and FAR’s. Ensure training is completed and recorded.</li><li>Conducts indoctrination training for new hire pilots</li><li>Maintain a status of all crewmembers to include recurrent check rides, ground school and medical status</li><li>Maintains proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, and duty time records</li><li>Prepares reports and correspondence pertaining to flight operations activities</li><li>Coordinates procedures, permits and flights with various other governmental and outside agencies such as Customs and Immigration, over-flight permits, and international flights</li><li>Research flight details and conduct flights, enforcing all safety standards</li><li>Maintains proficiency and currency to act as a crew member when required</li><li>Work with the Safety Director to develop and implement safety training and regulations, as well as deliver all notices and directives to flight crews</li><li>Additional tasks provided by the Director of Operations </li><li>Act on behalf of the Director of Operations in his absence</li></ul>
