Air medical company in Dallas, TX has a full-time need for a Chief Pilot to be based in Dallas. The Chief Pilot will be flying approximately 50% of the time, with the other 50% encompassing administrative duties to include flight scheduling and planning, training, etc. • The Chief Pilot is responsible for ensuring that all company airmen remain legally qualified to serve as safe, proficient, and competent flight crewmembers under the Company Air Carrier Certificate. • The Chief Pilot monitors the operational environment in which the organization conducts all flight operations. • He/she recommends and executes changes in the pilot training program which adequately overcome operational challenges and accurately reflect the current operating environment. • Responsible for operational control to initiate, terminate, or divert all Company flight operations. • Responsible for cancelling or suspending any flight operation in the interest of safety until it can be confirmed that the safety hazard has been removed or is no longer a threat to safe operations. • Act as a direct liaison to the FAA for matters pertaining to the operating certificate with respect to pilot training or as designated by the Director of Operations or VP of Operations.
