Job Description:
  • Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of company aircraft
  • Conduct flights in compliance with FAA CFR 14 Part 91 regulations, aircraft limitations and company operating procedures
  • Effectively work with sensor operators to safely and efficiently complete assigned missions
  • Communicate with head of maintenance to track and schedule all maintenance items ensuring airworthiness and safe operation of aircraft
  • Keep accurate and detailed records to maintain FAA compliance
  • Perform preflight and post flight inspections which includes cleaning the interior and exterior of the aircraft after each flight
  • Work Environment: Based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, we own and operate four (4) aircraft equipped with highly advanced digital imaging and laser scanning systems. Aircraft are all small piston planes, Cessna 310, Piper, and Cessna 206.
  • Our client specializes in the acquisition, processing, and extraction of geospatial data using these systems.


Qualifications: Mandatory Qualifications:
  • CFI - "Certified Flight Instructor"
  • CFII - "Certified Flight Instrument Instructor"
  • MEI - "Multi Engine Instructor"
  • Minimum Total Flight Hours - 1500
  • Minimum Total Multiengine Hours - 50
  • Must possess managements skills (past work experience)
  • Personality - firm, fair, and friendly
  • Experience flying in and around Class B airspace
  • Attention to detail
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent decision making and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and deployments lasting up to 3 weeks with minimal notice


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous survey flying experience
  • Experience in Cessna 206, 310 or Piper Aztec
  • Multi-Engine time
  • Ability to problem-solve in high stress situations
  • Performance Expectations: Must be expected to lead and training a team of 3 other pilots. They will also be expected to lead regular training and safety meetings
  • Interview Information: Will interview with VP Casey Francis
  • Additional Compensation: pay is open, but looking between $60-$90k
  • Additional Information: This is an exciting job for pilots because they are not just flying to waypoints, they work with the customer to get the best imagining.
  • Job is open because their current chief pilot had a medical emergency last month, not going to be able to return to work. He was with the company for hte past 8 years
