Summary of duties and responsibilities:
[h=1]The CI (Chief Inspector) is responsible to the DOM for items listed as well as all delegated and or assigned items. This position can delegate any and all responsibilities however remains responsible for them.[/h]
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Physical environment / working conditions:
Will be working primarily inside of the facility. Will have exposure to aircraft, aircraft parts, shop machinery, and equipment. May require some medium lifting up to 50 lbs. May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Bending and stooping.
Equipment / machinery used:
General office equipment such as facsimile, copier, personal computer, laminating machine, etc. Vehicle operation such as company van, truck, golf cart, aircraft etc. as required. May require use of various pieces of shop equipment.
MUST HAVE a current A & P license, have at least 10 years experience in the Aviation industry.
MUST HAVE a QA and/or QC background.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise all inspection personnel.
- Ensure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that proper inspection records, reports and forms are completed correctly.
- Ensure that pertinent CFRs, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS), Service Bulletins (SBs) or other data deemed necessary are available.
- Ensure that calibrated tools are being kept current.
- Submit “malfunction and defect” and “suspected unapproved parts” reports in accordance with current FAA standards.
- Conduct receiving, preliminary, hidden damage, in progress, final inspections as necessary.
- Ensure that personnel are properly documenting training as required by the Training manual.
- Ensure the quality of work performed by personnel.
- Ensure that subordinates are properly executing procedures for continuity of inspection.
