12-month, non-tenure track position in the Department of Aviation. This position updates FAR Par 141 Training Course Outlines for Private, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI as required. Ensures compliance with Part 141, as well as all other relative FAA regulations. Acts as the liaison with the FAA. Ensures compliance with TSA requirements. Supervises and runs the flight operation. Oversees $1.2M budget. Procures aircraft and all necessary equipment for the flight training program. Recruits, hires and supervises flight instructors and dispatchers. Coordinates with the department ground school instructors and other appropriate university departments and /or officials. Assists in the recruiting of students. Provides transportation services to the university and state departments.

Requirements:
1. Master's degree in related field.
2. CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates for airplane category.
3. At least 2,000 hours as pilot in command.
4. At least 100 hours of flight time under actual or simulated instrument conditions.
5. Pursuant to FAR Part 141.35(c), Instrument flight instructor experience, acquired as either a certificated flight instructor-instrument or an instructor in a military pilot flight training program, or a combination thereof, consisting of at least
a. 2 years and a total of 250 flight hours; or
b. 400 flight hours
6. Pursuant to FAR Part 141.35(d), flight training experience, acquired as either a certificated flight instructor or an instructor in a military pilot flight training program, or a combination thereof, consisting of at least
a. 3 years and a total of 1,000 hours; or
b. 1,500 flight hours

This my Alma Mater. University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Just about 45 minutes east of Kansas City. PM me if you need some info. I believe they are looking for CFI's as well.

It is my Alma Mater as well. I can attest, that this school is a great school to be at for flight training. However, personally knowing the last Chief Pilot, I can honestly say, The pay is not worth the politics. IMHO.

Talked to a few friends and they said that they are in need of a few CFI's if anyone out there is interested.
 
Pay depends on experience. If you have your CFII with some dual given then you get so many more dollars per hour than someone with just a CFI. Although they will hire just CFI's with no dual given. There is a fleet of 15 2000 Skyhawk R models and 1 2006 172 SP with Garmin 1000, 3 172 RG's and 2 Beech Duchess' 1 Piper Seneca and 1 Baron. All for teaching in. If you have your MEI and put in a semester or two then you can build LOTS of multi X-country experience.
 
Sounds like a good gig, I'm sure the getting double requirements for flight time... How many schools offer master's degrees in Aviation? I'm a UND grad and I know we do, I'm guessing maybe Riddle? JW
