Chicago Center Fire

One good thing, if anything good can be said about the situation, it was before 6 am thus little, if any, vectoring was goin on. If it had been 9 am totally different sport....

I think it'd work fine. I mean ground is already basically uncontrolled.
"Sorry, couldn't get a word in earlier ground, we've got both shut down for the last 6 minutes, we're in the penalty box, we've already pulled up to the end, and ops will call when gate's open in 15 minutes. Be advised the 3 guys in here with me have been calling you too if you want to check it, it's Eagle 3333, Skywest 4444, and Eagle 3334."

*15 min later taxi into gate through the north never getting a word in to ground*

EXACTLY!
Aircraft land everyday at non-controlled airports!
Why can't all these crews self-report and self-sequence? Just say "Any traffic in the area please advise" (like the other retards do), and land? Seems simple to me.......:D
Now we're talking about airline pilots here. Doesn't work well when everyone thinks they are number one.

There was a dog that alerted Wednesday and evacuated terminal 1. ORD is just a crap show.

Chicago used to be the Real Murican alternative to New York. Now it's just more of the same...

Expresses my feelings fairly well, minus the homophobia.

Kalamazoo approach, and Grand Rapids approach have been trying to handle the Chicago traffic, they're swamped. Wouldn't let anyone do any practice approaches.

Perfect time to be asking for practice approaches too, or any other non-critical ATC service.
