Cherokee's Delta Rants from "Alaska Hawaiian Merger"

Actually, Delta goes one step worse. On a BE fare, you can’t even pay extra to pick a seat. That would at least be an option. A family is out of luck. They need to buy the next higher fare bucket.

On American, United, Spirit, a BE bottom barrel fare class will still allow you to select a seat from the seat map for extra money.
Imagine spending free time arguing this because you hate an airline so much for saying no to you

Lololol

Incorrect. I’ve been hired at both airlines I’ve interviewed at. Has nothing to do with any hate, just calling out a lone standing business practice. You sound butthurt that your employer was criticized. Don’t make it your personal identity, people like that are weird.

The fun part of this is that the airline you’re saying has the best pricing model is in bankruptcy and has pilots on the street.

All good things must come to an end, or some business school platitude. Wait, that's TNG, not b-school. Um.

Anyway.

The really frustrating part of that situation is that the pilots did exactly nothing to deserve it, and Spirit management should be looking for jobs at Elbo Room instead of still patronizing the place.

I don’t. I literally could care less. I’m far from the Delta is my identity if you knew even an ounce of who I am (and those who do know me on this forum know that)

You on the other hand make Delta your identity. You ever consider the log off button and go …living life like a normal person?

Just pour a beer, laugh, watch non political tv. You’ll be amazed at how fun it can be.

Again, I don’t know, but from the info here it sounds like United and most everyone else has this policy but delta. United seems to be fine with it as does delta. You guys are out CCing CC.

I'm not sure there's a lot of "talking past each other" @Cherokee_Cruiser wants to know why he has to pay extra for an additional side of sauce at Raising Cane's because McDonalds will happily throw in an extra packet and @derg is trying to explain that the exact amount included with each meal is clearly displayed on the menu

Fake News.

I can't make heads or tails of the rest of this 9 page thread of - well, whatever it is. But, this... this grinds my gears. What sort of bougie upper class McDonalds are you going to that doesn't have signs all over the place with sauce distribution charts and saying that extra sauce is $.25?

If you want extra sauce, sir... you need to go to a Chic Fil A.

Just don't expect a free bottle. Individual servings only, but that doesn't mean you can't bring your own bottle.

Same here, I don’t have an identity to any airline. Those who know me outside JC would know. Both places I worked at ended up merging and the companies that I applied to no longer existed afterwards with the same name on the paycheck. Mergers happen, things change. Who cares? I pointed out a simple business practice that stand out from the crowd.

Yes it does. It’s forcing corporations to do something that helps the mainstream people. Dems want to tax corporations higher to use that revenue to pay for things that help the lower/middle class.

In that sense, this family seating is not a govt mandate, just a recommendation. But if it became a mandate, it is a slight hit in revenue for the greater good of the traveling public.
If Delta was getting a lot of indigestion from customers not named Cherokee "My father, who invented Toaster Strudel, would be very disappointed" Cruiser don't you think they would act on it prior to government intervention?

See, @Cherokee_Cruiser, when there’s someone with a higher level of understanding, we get out of the fast lane, and let them pass. He’s got a lot of employees so what does he do? Have someone at his company handle that and offers a perspective.

That’s how adults have fruitful conversations and makes the internet a place for learning, not fantasies of how we think the world works.
But those people that delegate in favor of higher expertise and time saving - are they trying to pay off an onerous 6.265% mortgage in lieu of a Ferrari?

Delegators? More like masturbators if you ask me!
