Cherokee fuel pressure

Turned the fuel pump on yesterday before I had the engine running/headset on and heard it, so all is well.

I'm surprised that the gravity pressure would be enough to keep the fuel injection system functioning at full capacity. I mean on many injected aircraft engines normal fuel pump output pressure is in the neighborhood of 35 PSI at takeoff power. I think that even with fully functional gravity you'd get a very substantial loss of power if the engine driven pump quit.

I looked it up and I believe it is a medium pressure pump, which is ~ 15PSI. I spoke with a mechanic and he said even with the fuel tanks being low, gravity should get it around 4 PSI, which shouldn't cause a total failure, just a significant loss in power, as you said.
