I did. Time is still time. If you're building time, it doesn't matter how fast you're traveling. You simply travel a greater distance in a given amount of time.

Regardless of destination, a slower plane will take more time. Most people don't plan flights based on how far they can go, but where they want to go. Also much cheaper per hour flown.

If you're willing to drive you can go to Van Sant airport 9N1 in PA, just across the river. It's not that far from Solberg, which is almost center NJ. It is a great little grass strip on the top of a hill.
 
How is flying a 152 taildragger different from flying a 152 tricycle? The only difference is on the ground. You land the same way - STRAIGHT. Flying is the same. Rudder can be taught better in some airplanes in my opinion, but it's all dependent on the instructor.

I nominate this for the most ignorant comment of the year award.
 
Have you thought about a 180hp fix gear C-177 Cardinal? First airplane I checked out after getting my PPL in a C-150 with 40hrs TT.
