Cheating Girlfriend

Well I dated a girl for two years, then I went off to college. Three weeks later she cheated on me. Has anyone had this happen to them? How did you handle it? I am still not over it. :banghead: Any tips to truly getting over it?

= You, getting over your problem. Your welcome.

She did you a favor. College wouldn't be College if you couldn't chase tail. Look at it this way: Cheaters are cheaters. She would have done it eventually, better now than later. Give her the old heave ho and start looking for your next casual hooku...I mean girlfriend.

I'm sure it seems like a big deal now, but with some perspective it won't.

There is no room in anyone's life for an intimate partner who isn't 100% trustworthy...so tell her 'so long' and enjoy the fun of being single.

Besides...dude...you're just starting college. As someone else mentioned, you should be out banging everything that will agree to with you. You have the entire rest of your life to find your soulmate.

No matter what they tell you, women are just as sneaky, devious, and potentially evil as men.

They are, however, not ALL that way. Same goes for the male of the species.

Go find another one. The last one clearly wasn't worth your time. You just thought she was. Not your fault for taking someone at their word.

My best advice? Don't go out and find another "girlfriend".

Go have some fun, free of the "you didn't call"/"you forgot valentines day"/etc responsibilities otherwise you'll just be replacing her with another copy and probably end up right back where you started.

But if one pops up, great! If one doesn't, there's no rush. Luckily, us males age gracefully so there's no clock.

Hey, think of it this way, better this happen now than when you've got a house, a couple cars, a few kids and a set of in-laws, yes? :)

Well if you really want to freak her out, sleep with the guy she slept with:panic::D

Uhm, yeah something like that happened to me like 16 years ago or so. My advice is... let it go! The sea is huge and teaming with sea life :) There is an advantage in being single, you might just as well enjoy it cause it probably won't last :) The "real one" won't cheat on you. You're not missing out one bit by letting this girl go.

Best thing you can do is move on, IMO. I know this hurts like hell right now, but time will heal this quite a bit if you let it, so don't dwell on this so long that it changes you for the worse.

So go out, enjoy college and chase tail. There are better ones out there, and now you have the opportunity to find one.

Damn, you beat me to it to post that... :laff:

It wasn't me. . .yet. :)

Nevertheless, like everyone else has said. . .

You're young, appears unattached, and it also appears you guys didn't have any long term plans (such as marriage. . .if that were the case, then I'd play it a little different. . .such as sticking it out, and then later when you're 30-40years old, have a little fling with a beautiful lady and call it pay back. . .- wait did I just say that?) so follow through with moving on, kicking her to the curb, and meeting and dating as many women as you want.

Best of luck.

If you weren't married to her, then she's single. And single people, by definition, can't "cheat." If you wanted her exclusively, you should have married the girl. And no one believes you went to college and remained faithful, so give us a break here.
