Cheaper alternative to clarity aloft?

There any kind of in ear headset kind of like clarity aloft? I don't want to pay 700 for a headset.

Telex 750 off eBay for $50-$70 with those orange rubber ear plugs. Works good lasts long time. If you're on the Airbus you can remove them in cruise doing 260 kts or less or so, it's pretty quiet.

Aren't you on the Airbus? I just use the Telex ship sets until 180 and then chill out.

The Telex ship sets are the worst headset I've ever used. I started bring my Clarity Alofts with me again a few months ago, so much better.

@skyw82 I haven't tried any of these just seen them around the interwebz, but my Clarity Alofts have been great the 8 years I've had them I can assure you they are worth the $$$

If it doesn't have to be TSO'd, then the QT Halo.

Love mine. Ditched a Bose A20 to go back to them.

They are horrible, they are always bent in a funny way one side doesn't work or you have to stick the mic right on your lips for it to work, I don't want to catch oral herpes from a community headset.

I like those Halo ones. Someone told me the faro ones are bad.

The best advice I was given about headsets was to spend some time around 60, 70 & 80 year old pilots. “Huh? Can you repeat that but louder?” Buy the best headset you can afford to protect your hearing. Sent from my Startac using Tapatalk.
