Cheap hotel in MEM

There is a direct correlation between guns in possession and hotel location advised... :panic:

Are you coming into memphis for a PCL interview or something else? That affects what hotel I recommend...

Yep. Around the airport is the Radisson and the Holiday Inn Select. If you stay at the Holliday Inn, you run the risk of getting mugged. If you drove, you'll probably have your car stolen. Seriously. Happens to at least one guy in just about every interview class. Radisson's main drawback is that FedEx is launching off of 18R in the middle of the night. Wouldn't be so bad if the runway weren't right outside the window.

If you don't mind renting a car and driving (or if you drive yourself), you can probably get some deals just over the state line in Southaven, MS. It's about a 5-10 minute drive to the airport depending on traffic. There's a Drury, Sleep Inn, Hampton Inn, Days Inn, Residence Inn, Marriot Courtyard, etc all within a mile of each other.

There's also a hotel directly across the street from where they interview if you're flying in (and interviewing, since we're making assumptions).

If you're talking about the Marriott across the street from the CEC....it's about the same as the Holiday Inn Select. Anything in that neighborhood is risky.

Better than the homeboy. ;)

If you fly, you can get the shuttle to the airport, not leave the hotel, and walk across the street the next morning.

As long as you don't wander out at night it doesn't seem too bad...
