Is Chanatix approved to be flying on. I have been trying to quit smokeing for a few years now, and just can't seem to put them down. I have tried patches, gums, everything. Chantix is the only thing left that I can think of. Thanks.

Does the car drive to the store and buy them and then leave them out for you? I smoked for a very long time. When I decided to quit I did. Sounds like you don't want to. Until you want it you wont regardless of pills, patches, gums or whatever.

Who are you to judge me. Ya ever heard of an addictive personality? I figured that one out after a few years as an adult. Thankfully I rarely drink because I found out before I could buy beer. And have managed to stay away from mostly everything that is addictive.

I have a good reason to quit. He is 2 1/2. But nicotene is said to be more addictive than herion.

Harsh though this sounds, he's right. One of the reasons I still smoke is because I like to smoke.

He's not judging you, he's merely pointing out that this is a behavior which has to be modified. And he's right. Yeah, he coulda been more diplomatic, but he's right nonetheless.

I've heard that before, and I think it's one of those "they say" things. I'd like to see proof, one way or another.

Look - it sounds like you know you SHOULD quit and your kid is a good reason. But if you don't want to quit, you won't. Even if you didn't have a kid, there are other great reasons to quit.

Me? I'm just too damn lazy to go through the process right now. Lately, the number one reason I've come up with is financial. That may end up being the prime motivator.

How about Wellbutrin? I have heard quite a few people use it with good success and without the crazy stuff Chantix does to your head. I am not sure if it's Kosher w/ the FAA though.

Addictive personality? That sucks. I have one too. I managed to kick the gambling habit, I managed to cut back drastically on drinking, and I managed to be smart enough to stay away from drugs. I still smoke a lot though. My advice: you need to find a reason to quit. Gambling: my finances could not handle it... i stopped. Drinking... can't drink daily and fly freight- so I don't. Smoking... well, I really have no reason to stop (other than the obvious no brainer reasons). I did, however, have an ex-girlfriend who I was in love with tell me either quit or she was out. I stopped... kindof (while we were together I did). She left me and I took it back up. Not the smartest thing I've ever done. I know it's easier said than done... trust me I know... but it has worked for me in the past. I had to go into it with an attitude that i had to quit, not that I should quit. You have no option but to stop for xxx reason.

I hope it works for you! Good luck! Just don't wait for the doctor telling you that you need to quit due to medical reasons (and I need to follow my own advice too).

It is not approved.

In your own time. You have to be ready. It only tells you on every effin pack that they're hazardous to your health and everyone around you. Wish we could go back to the 40's when they were still healthy.

I was ready a long time before I actually quit. Again, in your own time, you will. When you do, it'll be tough, but it'll be easier than you thought.

Good luck my friend!
