Changes to Antidepressant Special Issuance Guidelines

My Flight Surgeon

Sr. Aviation Medical Examiner
These are new changes from the FAA.

An airman who stops taking antidepressants must now only wait 60 days rather than 90 days before being considered for a medical certificate.

Also, the follow-up neurocognitive testing for an airman who holds a Special issuance for SSRI's has changed to only require the CogScreen-AE test.
