FlyAdvanced is seeking a Challenger 601 Captain for their location in New Castle, DE. This individual is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Pilot-in-Command in addition to other duties is responsible for the aircraft, its crew, and the manipulation of the flight controls of an aircraft underway, including taxiing, take-off, and landing of such aircraft and who is properly qualified and designated by the company to serve and holds currently effective airman's certificates authorizing him to serve as such.
  • Shall comply with all air-traffic rules established by the country in which operating, and local airport rules, except where an FAR's, or provision of the Operations Specifications or of this manual, whichever is more restrictive and may be followed without violation the rules of that country or airport.
  • Is responsible for the pre-flight planning and release of a flight in compliance with the FAR's and the Operations Specifications.
  • During flight time, is in command of the aircraft and crew and is responsible for the safety of the passengers, crew members, cargo, and the aircraft.He has full control and authority in the operation of the aircraft without limitations, over other crew members and their duties during flight time. This includes operational aspects and standards of operation and conduct established by the Company.
  • Is responsible to ensure that the aircraft is not operated in a careless or reckless manner, so as to endanger life or property.
  • Assists the Chief Pilot in monitoring and furthering the progress of the SIC's with who he flies.
  • Is responsible to maintain current knowledge of those general subjects and aircraft related information, which will enhance his overall competency, ability and professionalism, and apply that knowledge to his job.
  • Makes every effort to ensure an on-time department.
  • Is responsible for the proper computation of the weight and balance for all flights.
  • Is responsible for the pre-flight inspection.
  • Shall supervise ice removal of the aircraft on the ground.
  • Shall brief the Second-in-Command on normal and emergency procedures.
  • The duties of the Pilot-in-Command may be delegated by him as necessary. However, such delegation does not relieve him of the overall responsibilities.
  • Will hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with the appropriate category and class ratings, and if required, an appropriate type rating for that airplane.
  • Additionally, will ensure that prior to serving as Pilot-in-Command is current and qualified for the flight assigned.
  • Pilot-in-Command will be responsible for recording all discrepancies and mechanical irregularities.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with company staff and management.
  • Is designed at the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) while the aircraft is on the ground and is the In-Flight Coordinator (ISC) while in the air.
  • Perform an audit on aircraft records, using the "Aircraft Audit Form" when required by the Chief Pilot.
  • Ensures that all required company manuals (GOM 1.4.0 a.) are current and onboard the aircraft prior to flight.
