Either give Skymates a call or stop by. Odds are you'll be hooked up with an instructor in a matter of minutes or hours. A lot of their instructors don't really frequent JC. That was an anomoly when me, John, Matt, Brett, Todd and even Austin were there.

You guys better take care of my former student. Good luck Clay!

LOL. That's a trend with you, sending former students to Skymates. Last I heard, Jack actually made it through everything. I never got to fly with him since I got the call from PCL on or about the same day he showed up.

Jack wasn't my student! Don't put him off on me. I had nothing to do with that train wreck.

I taught his buddy Yi Fang. I made a hell of a private pilot out of him. :)

"Jack, whatdya mean you need more oil? We just gave you two quarts."
"Yeah. I pour out."
"What?"
"I pour out. Open oil door, and pour out. Come out bottom of airplane."
"Wait. You....opened...the....Oh christ."

Haha, that's probably one of the best stories I heard while I was at Skymates. I still laugh thinking about that one.

No doubt. I bet they had even more killer drink specials than usual. Pretty sure Caves probably didn't suck either. :)

Basically, what the guy did was open the door on the top of the cowling on a 172 (the one where you can access the oil dipstick, which he called the "oil door") and just poured the oil in there.....right on top of the engine. So the oil got in places it shouldn't as well as just running down the sides and leaking out the bottom of the cowling. In other words "He pour out."

hahahaha. Funny. Sorry, I'll stop laughing now.

Kelwolf, I noticed you have over 10,000 posts on JC. That's incredible!

It's a tribute to my lack of a life. Now that I got the laptop fixed, I'll probably take it with me on overnights now, too.....
