My CFI was coming up for renewal next month, so I had to decide how I want to renew. I haven't signed anyone off for a checkride, so I had to do some sort of renewal. I opted to go in person to one of the refresher clinics. These places are great for networking. Lots of the CFI's renewing their licenses haven't flown for a while and want to get back into flying. Many CFIs attending are 121 or 135 pilots, a great chance to network. Before you decide to renew by doing an online course, you should consider going in person. This is a great place to network.
