CFI PROGRAM

Hello everyone, I am looking for an accelerated CFI program to begin as soon as I get back from overseas and was wondering if anyone has recently finished any programs worth knowing about. I have been looking at several different programs but it has been hard to find recent, good reviews to compare them. I live in the northwest therefore a place out west would be preferred and obviously the more reasonably priced the better. Thank you.

Don’t have a bunch of places in mind, but from talking with some (frustrated) people, almost all the good ones are booked out a couple of months ahead or more right now with all the hiring going on and CFIs being pulled into other jobs.

You may just want to start calling some of the ones that have reasonable reviews all over the Internet in forums, and see what their availability is like. You may find you only have a short list of choices if you’re on any sort of deadline or don’t get in the schedule early.

Great news - you have already found one - this very website! And you don't even need to get back home. Use the search, look for all of the great advice right here! (some of it might accidentally even be from me). Study your ass off right now.

Seriously, 95% of what you need to know you are going to read in AC's, FAA PDF's, FARs and other equally free pieces of text. And you will get to know it even better writing lesson plans, citing those very same things.

After that, pick some flight schools - show off your lesson plans, and go flying. Buy me a beer when you pass that CFI ride flight hours later.

I recommend American Flyers Pompano Beach location. Have your lesson plans written before you go down and it will be pretty low stress.
