CFI Position in SC

Yeah, we actually lost our second full timer to go to ComAir... and the third switched to part time...

But, 2 new full time CFI's were hired today... so I'd say we're still in the market for 1 more full timer...
 
Correction... One of the new Full timers couldn't take the job, so we're still in need of 2 Full timers...
and who knows, the two that were hired were buddies, so I'd be afraid the second one would pass too... then we'd need 3...

Ahhhh the revolving CFI industry....

I'm here for 3 years at least...
 
Are the jobs still open? I emailed a resume this afternoon. I used to fly out of Savannah and I'd love to get back out by the coast.

We need at least one more full timer ASAP...

Incidently, I did a night XC with a student down to savannah last night... talk about a big black hole between SAV and CHS... I introduced my student to our friend, the autopilot

I know what you mean about the black hole. On a new moon night there's not much on the ground in that area to give you a horizon.

No Jewel does not work at Mercury CHS. MAC-CHS sucks. Come to JZI. No hotties though except the occasional ULTRA-MILLIONAIRE passing through.

The listing has shown up on AOPA, so it must still be available. I looked at it, looks good, but it is an expensive area to live in, and kind of a long trip out to the island if you live in the more affordable areas. Nice place to fly though and Charleston is a great city!

Yep, I posted it on AOPA on thursday. We defidently need one more and could use one more after that. (Neil send in your info!)

It's a trade off of where to live now that gas is so expensive... I live in Goose Creek which is a 30 min drive tio the airport but the living expenses are cheap (Free for me... I live in navy housing... but that's not really free, but another topic all together), to live close to the airport is more expensive, but less driving. So I think anywhere you live in the area will even out...
 
Got a BIG response from AOPA and the boss man hired all he needed.

I Hope someone from here got the job(s), but I don't know for sure....
 
Man I missed out again. I just sent my resume this morning. Figures a day late and now a dollar short. Thanks for posting the job though. Guess if I wasn't so busy working I would have got to it sooner. Let us know if another position comes up in the future.

According to Arlynn McMahon of Aero-Tech, in Lexington Kentucky, she listed a CFI position on AOPA and within three hours she had almost 400 resumes. By the end of three days she had 1000 CFI resumes. Pretty scary when you think about it!
