Anyone who is interested in a CFI/Co pilot of a King Air out of LUK let me know.... My old CFI just e-mailed me to see if I would be interested or know of anyone who might.... Perfect opportunity for anyone who doesnt have much ME and might want to get into the corporate side of aviation....... anyways PM me and I will put you into contact......

What kind of hours is your friend looking for?

No time requirement..... However CFI is a must and they would prefer a CFII again this is a preference and not a must. The king air operation is under part 91 from my understanding. The owner of the Flight school operates the Kingair 200 for a group of local businessmen. Its a rather new Kingair and has awesome equipment. From my understanding the pay is $20 an hour for flight/ground during the time which you are doing duties of a CFI. When you are doing the Kingair operatoins you are a CO pilot who is recieving a daily pay of $150 a day. I dont know how this stacks up but it doenst sound bad if you are a low time guy and corp and or 135 is what you want.... LUK has a great potential for a Corp pilot as if you do your research you see a lot of various operatoins such as PG and many more on the field.

saw that one on CL350.

You can't log FO time in a Kingair Part 91, though, right? (i.e. that plane doesn't require crew of 2 for that operation, so thus there is no required SIC, thus no logging of SIC time permissible). Not sure if they'd let you log your legs as PIC, though I doubt they would unless they typed you due to insurance costs.

If they send you to school for the King Air, and once you are proficient in the airplane and the Captain is comfortable, unless he is a guy himself building hours, there is no reason he wouldn't let you log PIC...Deadlegs is another time where if he isn't building hours you could log PIC. Another scenario would be if the Captain is an MEI, you could potentially log duel recieved as TT.

Exactly as stated above. In addition I dont know much about it but I wouldnt be posting something I didnt feel was a good job. I wouldnt waste your time nor mine. Again only those who are serious about being CFI and want to do some Kingair200 charter stuff on the side need apply.

There is a big difference between logging PIC time and Acting as PIC..

All I'm saying is from my experience, with any type of private charter, it doesn't matter whether it's legal for you to fly the plane or not--whoever pays the insurance for that plane won't want you logging PIC unless you're typed. If I were a businessman paying some guy a lot of money to fly me around, I wouldn't want "dual given" going on in my plane.

But maybe it would be a good experience. I did "SIC" duties in a Kingair this year, but the guys who owned the plane, and the "captain" specifically told me I was not to log it as PIC. Maybe these guys are more laid back about it...I just knew with my experience that if a regional ever called the owner of the a/c they would specifically say "no, he wasn't the PIC on that flight."

OK, and one interested party asked me to inquire the location again?

CVG? DAY? I personally don't know the proximity between the two locales.

Disregard, I pulled up Airnav and showed her. She's good now.

I can see where some people might be uneasy with you logging PIC time in it, but as long as your are appropriately rated and sole manipulator of controls I'd log it. You aren't Acting as PIC just logging. You are logging the Total Time aren't you? Even though you might not even touch the controls or have any say in the flight you are logging that time. So why would you have any problem logging the PIC time if YOU are the one flying the aircraft that you can legally fly? And by legal I mean what the FAA says not the insurance company.

I believe I'm tracking PIC times in King Airs. 90/100/200 King Airs one can log PIC, for you don't have to be typed. 350s or > 12,000 lbs. I believe require type ratings and SIC when in Part 135.

Part 91 you still need typed but not as SIC?

Part 91, the owners I fly with had no problem with me logging duel recieved prior to my commercial multi, and now, they have no problem with my logging PIC...I don't go to flight safety until Feb 08.

No offense, but MikeOH58, but where did you get your logbook? I've never heard of a "duel" column, only "dual." Are you fighting with your instructor? Ha ha j/k.

I take this as no less than a slap in the face with a leather glove, and a formal challenge. I will accept this challenge, and on the 4th day of the 12'th month, as the sun is at it's highest, I shall silence your tounge, setting a precident where no man will ever dare challenge my spelling of duel recieved!

Until then my foe....

BOW CHICKA BOW WOW!
