CFI Initial RIC

My CFI initial is coming up. Either Next week, or the begining after. I have set a date, but my instructor has talked to them, and they are open. Anyone done one there yet? I guess like every CFI Initial I have heard my share of horror stories. I am more concerned about the plane going down for some unforseen issue. Ive been preparing for a long time, and once I pass this I get my BOS in Flight Education, so there is alot of pressure. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Yea its the 17th. My issue is I still dont know what to expect. None of my CFIs, did it at RIC or even at a FSDO so any adivce at all would be welcomed. Adhorcat gave me some great advice already. My biggest issue is I when I am teaching a lesson I go to far in depth, and a student pilot would be looking at me like WTF. But then when I try and correct for that, and try and keep it simple, my instructor starts digging, and I am right back to where I started.

Example:

yesterday I was teaching lift. This is easy, talk about bernouli, draw a venturi draw a wing under a venturi so they can see the similarity. Talk about Newtons 3rd law, and then go over the parts of the wing. Thats it in a nutshell.

The next thing I know, I am not discussing Stagnation Point, and how it helps to create the high pressure below, and the binary flow seperation point. If i go to the FSDO preaching that, My bags will packed before he can say fail.
 
Not here to fail you.keep simple and you will be ok.i trained 200 students and it s a skill. The best cfi are the one who don't stress student too much. Can you go fly with your best Buddy and give it control? If yes you are a cfi.

Sounds like your going way too in depth. It isnt supposed to be a physics test. Maybe some FSDO inspectors want that I dont know. But I've never heard of anyone being asked to go that indepth on the their CFI ride about aerodynamics. Mostly just want to know you can give a basic explanation that the student can wrap their head around.
