Hello all, i have been reading several threads in this forum and it helped me alot to have a perspective about the Flight Schools i am pondering to go.
I am Portuguese, with CPL/IR, having family in U.S, i decided heading to Oakland with the intention of getting my CFI, CFII plus MEI, hoping to get a new and different experience in the ways of flying, and of course learn from a different aviation culture than JAA to improve my knowledge.
I have American Citizenship, but a JAA license wich i will have to convert there to FAA.
So, after excluding some schools by reading several posts of this community i am pondering to go and check the following Flight Schools:
-Ahart Aviation
-ATP
-Nice Air
The advice wanted is
Wich one has instructors and persons that handle better with international students, socially and administratively in terms of paperwork, conversions.... and is more focused in a good dedicated teaching rather than learn by yourself or screw yourself kind of people. I work hard study hard and i am a self-dedicated pilot but having someone wanting to help you is a plus you know for being a foreign...
Kind regards
