Job Description:

The Pilot Instructor is responsible to the Flight Program Manager for performing duties assigned. As a certified pilot, Pilot Instructor is required to pilot the aircraft in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations and transfer knowledge to fly aircraft as required by contract.

Obtains weather data and interprets data based on flight plan.
Conduct flight instruction in the type aircraft specified on his/her certificate.
Files a flight plan with air traffic control officials.
Conducts pre flight and post flight inspections.
Conducts maintenance check flights.
Operates and pilots aircraft to destination adhering to flight plan, FAA, ICAO and company regulations, practices and policies.
Communicates with appropriate control tower to assure clearances for take offs and landings.
Conducts flight profiles in conjunction with contractual requirements.
Able to work any assigned shift or schedule.
Frequent travel can be expected and must be willing to instruct in several different make and model of aircraft, including type rating.

Shall have no previous aviation accident record.
Never had any designation or ratings suspended or revoked.
Shall hold valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license and the following current FAA Certified

Flight Instructor (CFI) rating:

Single-Engine Land (SEL) Multi-Engine Land (MEL)
Instrument Airplane

The pilot must have a minimum of 2,000 hours logged total pilot time with the following minimum experience:

1000 Hours as an Instructor 250 Hours of Instrument Instruction
500 Hours Multi-Engine (PIC) 200 Hours Night
1000 Hours Cross Country 250 Hours Instrument
500 Hour Turbine Engine (PIC)

The diversity of working conditions may range from a standard office type environment, where there is no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust, wind, rain and the like. On occasions individual may also be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail that require the use of ear protection devices.

Must be able to obtain and maintain in force a valid US driver’s license.
Conversational Spanish language ability is desired, but not required.
Hold a valid second class FAA medical certificate.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense SECRET security clearance. Successful completion of a Department of Justice security clearance will be required prior to employment. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
