CFI anywhere in the country

I just got my CFI/CFII/MEI and am willing to work *anywhere* in the country at this point as I have not been able to find work in the DFW area.
If you know about flight schools that are currently hiring please let me know.

Thanks a lot

Tried them and they wouldn't take me. I'm drastically losing weight, coming from 270 at 238 right now in 2 months, going down to my target weight of 180 (in other words USFA indirectly told me I was too fat :banghead:)

tried them also... they want 200 hours dual given (I just got out of CFI school at ATP), but they were nice enough to e-mail me back
Thanks though :-)

:offtopic: by the way jhugz, i love the quote in your signature ("Actually, it's a career for me. It should be for you, too. You're not a WalMart "associate," you're a pilot. Have some self respect.") which is exactly how I feel. I'm not giving up until I find something, even if I have to eat ramen noodles until I do

Id suggest calling all the flight schools in areas youd want to live. Couldnt hurt.

Thank you bretthullrampage. I've sent about 53 resumes so far over the past month, I think phone calls are in place now...
Everyone else, all suggestions for flight schools are still welcome :D

I went there on monday, they weren't hiring... I gave Luca (the boss) my resume though... Later I discovered they lost 2 flight instructors in a terrible plane crash that killed 3 people. This happened 2 weeks ago. I'm afraid I walked in at a bad time :-/

thanks a lot! I sent my resume to all of them. TransPac wants 200h dual given (which I don't have) so they couldn't offer me an interview... Let's see what the other schools say.
Suggestions still welcome! :insane:

I went to Northwest Regional (52F) today, north east of Alliance airport in the DFW area and they have a flight school over there. I didn't ask if they were hiring but I saw a few Cessnas running. The name of the school is North Texas Flight Academy. Give them a call or drop a resume in person, and let us know how it goes. Good luck!

I instruct at SAA out of KSEE. We're in El Cajon CA which is just east of San Diego. I haven't hear any announcements of hiring but I do know that we have 34 new Chinese students starting next month and I also know that some of the current instructors are thinking about moving on. Your timing may be good. PM me if you have any questions. I will warn you that San Diego rent is a lot higher than Dallas rent.

It's not the right season anymore, but don't limit yourself to instructing. I know you just paid a bunch of money for the cfi ticket, but look at skydiving, banner towing and all the other things listed in 119.1. Like I said, we're out of season for them, but still.
