I know that only ATP employees can download the ATP checklist for the 172. I was hoping if someone can PM it to me or post a link. All my attempts to find it online failed...

I got rid of all my stuff. You can walk into most ATP locations and ask for a checklist. They'll be happy to fork you one, especially if you say you're ex ATP

LOL not sure if serious............

(are checklists even a requirements in part 91?)

Basically,
There is no rule to use a check list in part 91 but the
handbook(poh) is a requirement to have it on board in the cockpit , you have to use the check list included in the poh and more important the emergency check list.
, it could go against you using an improper check list so my best advice is to copy the check list from the poh.

Cessna owners removed their laminated check list for training when they discovered it was not approved.

Part 91 says nothing about using any checklist, anywhere. It just says the POH/AFM needs to be on the plane. Even PT 135 says nothing about using the POH checklist, it just says that a checklist must be provided by the company and used by the pilot.

The place that I rent from did recently remove the laminated checklists kept in the aircraft. I just figured it was to make you spend money in their pilot shop for a new one.
