The Aero Club at Edwards AFB in California is seeking full-time Certified Flight Instructors for a busy 141 Flight School contract position. Qualified candidates who successfully pass a background check will be hired as civilian contractors with the US Air Force (non-exclusive).
Job Duties:
- Flight instructors follow the school-specific FAR part 141 curricula
- Instruct students on a one-on-one basis
- Conduct training flights
- Determine student proficiency
- Report on student progress and perform progress checks as assigned by the Chief Flight instructor as check pilots
- US Air Force Instructor Pilots are responsible for USAF standardized check-out of Aero Club members on an annual basis and must comply with pertinent Air Force instructions
