Just curious if anyone has the low down on current happenings here? I'm currently at ~ 1200 hours 35 multi, and 370 x-country point to point - so not 135 PIC IFR legal just yet. Looking for a multi gig to get to fifteen hundo, as quick as possible. Had heard good things about these folks in the past, and was hoping they might let me do VFR PIC till I meet mins. Anybody have any contact info for their Chief, or any info really, would be greatly appreciated. I had heard they had an SIC program as well?

have a buddy who flies with them. Likes it except for being on the backside of the clock... but that's freight for you lol

Anyone know if they hire into specific bases?
wouldn't mind the Tampa base.....

Andrew Towner is owner/CP. He's good people. A lot of us have cut our teeth there, it's a good operation and the flying is as safe as you make it. Good luck!!

What are the minimums for the SIC and where are they based? There's an aircraft based at my FBO, but I've only seen a two person crew when they're training a pilot new to the route.

Actually, I think they may have gotten rid of the SIC program as it was pay-to-play. They very recently had an accident (Chicago) and I am sure the Feds are running through everything right now and hiring is probably the last thing on their mind at the moment. Home base is in KC (KMKC) but they have bases everywhere. For whatever reason, it seems like El Paso is always hiring.

Got 2300 hours there during the recession. Airplanes are well maintained when I was there. Things may have changed from what I hear about the new CP as Andrew Towner is the DO. With as much hurt as almost all 135 companies are having, I would expect them to implement a contract soon if they don't already have one just to keep pilots around. Happened in 2007 and can happen again.
