Center position at Kansas City

I just received a letter saying I've been chosen for ATCS position at Kansas City Air Route Control Center and I have 3 locations to go for my PEPC. I'm not a fan of Kansas City so how long do I have to wait for the next opening (estimated) at other locations?

Do I need to attend all the PEPCs for every referral I get?

I never had the chance of choosing my locations specifically so are they just gonna refer me to where ever they need me?
 
Well, if you decline you go back in the pool of candidates to be selected again which depending on how many others you are competing with could take some time. Secondly, now that you have been selected by Kansas City all the other referral panels cannot selected because you are now flagged "Selected and In Process." If you want to be considered for anywhere you have to decline where you have been selected for now.

I hope this helps. I declined a position in Feb and here I sit still not selected so be careful doing that you may be in for a longer wait.

Are you an applicant from last year or is this an offer from the OTS February announcement?
 
FYI, ZKC is actually in Olathe, not Kansas City proper...Olathe's about 30 minutes southwest of KC. You wouldn't necessarily have to step foot in KC if you didn't want to (you could live south of Olathe and be even further from KC).

Just something I thought I'd point out.
 
I actually live in Olathe, KS about 2 miles from the center. My neighbor across the street works there, and it's actually a REALLY nice center!!! Not to mention, the cost of living out here is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!! You'd honestly be stupid to turn it down!! I'm crossing my fingers for ZKC!!! When did you apply for this? I've been waiting like mad for a referral to ZKC!
 
Is it possible to go through the whole PEPC for Kansas City but ask not to get offer (only if they like me)? Would it speed up the process since everything is done and just wait for other referrals?
 
Being from KC I feel the need to stick up for it...it isn't bad living here. And as one poster said, it is much cheaper to live here than elsewhere. I have a buddy that lives in NYC and pays 2500 a month for a very small two bedroom apartment. That amount of money here could get you a huge, huge, huge house. My brother in law works out at that center and has kept me as informed as he can when he hears things. I also applied for the Olathe center, I applied back in July. Took the test in March and I just recieved an offer yesterday for a PEPC. I am trying to go April 28th in Fort Worth....hopefully I get it.
 
If you decline the offer, they won't let you process anymore at the PEPC. They will ask you to leave and wait for another temp offer. You have to accept in order to proceed through the PEPC.
 
I got an email yesterday saying I was chosen for the Kansas center as well and am thrilled about it. The location is not as important to me as just getting in. I was happy I got chosen for a high level facility. I emailed them back to put myself on the list for the PEPC in Los Angeles, CA as LA is only 2 hours south of me.
