That guy has skills...no doubt. I couldn't down load the whole bit so I missed how he went into parking....dang! However I did get some of his comments after the flight at this site.

He's probably the same Westland Lynx pilot from the British frigate who buzzed my ship in the Persian Gulf doing the same maneuvers, pissing off the Air Boss and messing up the Harriers, CH-46's, and MH-60's and HH-60's in the pattern.
Actually the Lynx did the same kind of departure pattern that all of the pilots were buzzing about in the wardroom afterwards.

Yeah, I did an awful lot of those maneuvers on my first day of hover practice. That guy's either really good or his instructor just flat passed out on him.
Seriously, I've only flown semi-rigid rotored helicopters. Any helo pilots out there have any thoughts on trying these with something other than an articulated rotor? It seems to me that the mast head or even tail boom would have departed early in this video. That is some pretty awesome stuff and just goes to show you exactly how fun flying helicopters can be. I sure do miss it. When the days of discretinonary income return, I hope to get back into them.
