These pics are a few years old but I was here recently ($25 landing fee..ouch!) and had forgotten what a fun airport this was.

I thought it was totally worth paying the landing fee, for at least a first time visit.

Good pictures! Looks like it was a nice day for flying.

Use to take my contract chinese students here, made them pay. Hell I think I've been in there at least a dozen times. Beautiful island, I would love to take something bigger than a seminole in there sometime.

This was a Duchess out of San Diego and last week was a Seminole. And yeah, my student paid but I covered the "buffalo chip" sized cookies. Socal skirted us along the west edge of Bravo at 9000 and sent an MD-80 500 feet directly below us. Wish I could have gotten a pic of that!

There was a PC-12 and a Caravan on the field and I know there used to be a DC-3 was based there but not sure if it still is.

Was that N3803E that you took to Catalina? That's my favorite Duchess. :) I am going to get rechecked out in it next month for my ATP and do a little Catalina flight as a reward if I pass. :D

3E is nice. I flew 13X to Colorado and Wyoming, that was an awesome trip.

Yeah it was $25 but the airport isnt eligible for state or federal funding. If you fly there you can thank me for my contribution to supporting airports at destinations like this. People easily drop $25 for a couple movie tickets, dinner at a so-so chain restaurant, an ugly ass pair of Crocs. I feel like I got my moneys worth when put into perspective.
