Cat in the cockpit!

I wish our cat could be that calm while flying. He'd probably attack my hand every time I may an adjustment on the throttle!:)

How cute was that? - A little cougar in training! I'm surprised that the kitty didn't want to paw the turning prop though!

:p... he's no fraidy cat - that's for sure :p:p!
It makes you wonder though... what else does it do for its owner :sarcasm:?

direct violation of the FAR's

the one that requires crewmembers to be in their positions for takeoff/landings :)

i think its hilarious how it gets a little nervous during final approach and touchdown but as soon as they turn off it just calmly readjusts itself and goes back to relaxing

OMG, I can not believe a cat would sit there like that!

No cat I've ever known would have the temperament to sit quietly in a plane like that! Hilarious!

wish I could get my collie to do that. I can't even get him to ride in my truck without him trying to get in my lap

Drug em'. Benadryl works just as well on pets as it does on children.

I shared that video to a bunch of crazy cat people and they said he's either a bengal

or an ocicat

I was reading Cat Fancier the other day while waiting at the vet and there were a lot of ads for these cats in the back - seems like they get pretty big, though. Most lokked about 50% larger than the average house cat.

I've got a bengal. He weighs 15 pounds and there's not much fat on him. He's a very active, athletic cat and I swear, he thinks he's a dog. Every morning, I get a paw brushing my face, purring, and then a lick on the face to wake me up.

This is Bagheera. He is a blue marbled polydactyl bengal which is why I got him for free. He's not considered show quality but who cares, I wanted a pet.

I'd try taking mine up (either of them) if I wasn't convinced that they'd go into Berserker Power Tool Mode and shred the PIC and the interior of the plane.

That would definitely happen if I tried that with either of mine...the dogs however...out like a light.

Our cat would be glued to the pilot's face. Gorgeous cat though. I wonder how their temperament is. Our cat had a bad one, then I gave him a swirlie and had his claws ripped out. Great cat now. :sarcasm: (Sorta)

Pilot: 'We made it'
FO: 'Meow' (translated: transponder to standby, landing light off, trim to takeoff setting)

Upon further utube research (This guy is LIVING THE LIFE! - He must not fly for a living!) Iris the cockpit cat *is* a Bengal.
