Careers in the Aviation Industry

Hi All!
I hope everyone is have a good holiday season. I am a junior in high school and am contemplating my career choices. I know i want to go to college so I can have the degree, but one of the careers that stuck out to me was being a customer service agent. I guess my question is, how is the job i.e. salaries, workload, etc...

I'll appreciate any help!

Hi Tyler,

Customer Service Agents typically do not earn a high salary and do not require a college education.

With a college degree, you would be more suited at a managerial or administrative position. Another option would be in operations but these positions usually require specialized training.

Do a search of the forums for a specific job or read the perspectives section on the JC home page for individual experiences.

Hey welcome to the buch`
I used to be a CSA (Customer Service Agent) for Alaska airlines. It is not a glamorous job at all. The pay is not that good unless you stick with it for 10+ years. But there are good parts to it too. If you are an aviation buff you'll get to hang around planes and pilots which was what i loved about it, you will also get some cool flying benefits with the job too. If I were you I would go to college study something management related like a business degree, aply to some airlines (Once you are 18) and go from there, you can climb up the ladder gradually and have yourself a nice position in a few years.
