Job Function
The Captain reports to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for conducting flights in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Quest Diagnostics Flight Operations Manual. The position of captain transports company specimens to various locations throughout country primarily during the evening and night hours. These flights are conducted in extreme weather conditions requiring the individual to maintain sharp aviation skills .
Required Knowledge: Necessary job knowledge of factual data, methods, process and theoretical knowledge.
Knowledge of aircraft, Federal Aviation Regulations, Quest Diagnostics Flight Operations Manual and extensive knowledge of Aviation related issues.
Required Experience:
Specific and amount of on the job experience.
1500 flight hours in specific type.500 hours of multi engine flight time. Experience in extreme summer and winter operations is preferred.
Special Requirement:
Licensing, travel, working conditions, varying work hours, overtime, etc.
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license. Varying work hours: overtime, overnight trips and evening and night hours are a norm. First class medical. Flight Instructor license and experience preferred.
