Is now a reality. My internets moniker (what I think the kids call a 'screenname' these days...) is now no longer an ironically appropriate homage to the James Taylor song-- I'm actually Captain Jim now. I have an E-145 type on my ATP certificate, have said farewell to our training center in Houston, and am now lounging in my apartment in Hoboken awaiting the call for my OE trip. I'm done. I'm back.
Last night, after having been up since 11 p.m. the previous day to do my LOFT sim at 2:30 in the morning and catch a 8:30am deadhead back to Newark, we (meaning my fiance, her parents and I) caught the D train to the Bronx to go to Yankees Stadium, which I had never done before. Cool, cool stuff. I slept till noon today.
It's good to be home.
