How did you like flying down in Belize? Every have any problems with the authorities?

yeah just vacation with my daughter before she starts college. Two big operators down there and a ramp full of C208s. Drove by some of the grass strips they use further south and looks like it could be fun.

I did try and rent a plane in Fiji a few years ago, but they wanted $310 for a C172 and $80 for their instructor for a checkout

I asked about a 172 in Nairobi and it was something absurd like that to. Price came down a bunch when I asked if I could just take the instructor with and make it a "lesson" Probably insurance, but it was cheaper to pay for the instructors time than the solo premium.
