Can United go just one month without . . .

Looks like a simple mistake.

Sadly, the article goes a little asymptotically absurd with linking this situation from everything from the guy getting drug off a jet a few months ago to the missing Lindbergh baby.

This is an OUTRAGE! Come on everyone. To Twitter we go! We all must come together and express our outrage over something.

Seriously though, I hear UA gave her a bunch of vouchers and a full refund plus a little extra. The mom seems like she wants to stay quiet about this and move on.

Hey guys, any way we can tie this in to the SkyWest engine fire in DEN too?

No doubt that the writer here is reaching for past connections that don't exist making the story sensational. With that being said I think that we should do better as an industry to mitigate these kinds of mishaps. The status quo is not working out and instead of blaming the public we all (Industry professionals) should strive for more.

I would think most people would unless you were planning on a massive law suit. Just about like everything else related to UA since the first doctor incident, even if it's not a huge ordeal your gonna hear about.

I don't know if the bad press is having a material effect on United's bookings but my wife and her circle of people at work will not book on United anymore. They just don't even look at their schedule.

It's pretty obvious nothing has really changed culture wise at the airlines despite large raises for staff. This isn't just UAL, I see our F/As and agents treat pax like crap every day and that is just for the 3 minutes I'm standing up at the podium waiting to get let down.

Yes some is self inflicted on the pax side but for some reason the industry feels it's OK to talk back to passengers in the way they are being talked to. There is little work at defusing situations.

No, dude. Everything is on outrageous personal attack on the consumer these days!

UAL is going to be giving the FAA a whole bunch of money for violating the previously referenced FAR by my most learned colleague @Autothrust Blue

VDRP only applies to violations that are inadvertent/not deliberate, last time I read the AC (yes, I've read that, and no, I do not want to talk about it).
