Can an IPC count as a BFR if separate endorsement was done?

Thanks for your well detailed answer, I understand that for most ck rides you have to show single pilots competency, but I was talking about a CFI ride. For the weight issue, I know of a X DPE that weighs 300 LBS, when most airplanes have a 400 LBS station limit, how can he still possibly perform his duties legally, but again nobody says anything.

It shouldn't happen, and if it does, a complaint from the public would bring it to light in an investigation process.

I have the same question about some regional fo's (and mainline capt.s) that I have seen roaming the terminals, how does a guy that big get a first class medical, and why is he allowed to disgrace the uniform like that? But I guess that is for another thread! Sounds like yoy are a little disgruntled about a cfi ride. I take you passed, even if it took more than one attempt, but never the less, move on. I forgot toention the standardization. Standardization is the PTS. The best way to test correlation is to allow leway in the scenarios used to test.
We don't want everyone using an identical test, for obvious reasons. Otherwise the standardization you may have been referring to is really best for crew and teaching enviroents where many have to work together to achieve an outcome, much like an orchestra. Testing is kot so. I wish you better experiences in the future...

Did my CFI ride Part 141

I suppose my comment about weight was a little brash. I know a person or two with that condition, and I mean mo offense, I understand that can be a difficult battle for some. I sometimes open my big mouth before I think!

All I really needed to know is if they can be combined in the same event (flight) and the FAA will answer them it's ok to do so.
Yes. As a number of folks mentioned, it's right there is the flight review reg at 61.56(h).

Do you need the ground portion if you hold a current CFI, in this case?
No also right there in the flight review reg at 61.56(f).

OTOH, if you're having that much difficulty reading the FR reg, you might want a little ground. ;)

LOL, guess I'm just lazy/tired the heat and humidity are killing me here in the jungle.

"at the discretion of the person giving the review" pretty much allows for a lot of wiggle room.
Yes, it does...for a reason. Pilot skill is so unique and individual that the judgement of it cannot be "programmed". Like the PTS.
The endorsing instructor, and/or examiner must ask himself if he would allow this applicant to take their young daughter up on a dark and stormy night.
...that's what you're authorizing when you endorse.
That's what Ziggy is sayin..
