Can a CFII log instrument experience in a simulator by himself?

I spent more than 30 years counting time by tenths of an hour by looking at a clock or watch.The concept wasn't invented by Mr Hobbs.

A CFII can do all kinds of things to himself. Take for example autoerotic asphyxiation. Not sure how one would log that though.

I was jokingly referring to "back in the day", when B-17s were flying, they weren't logging in tenths.
They logged in minutes from a clock or watch.
